What’s included with A Boat rental?

Each rental (per boat) comes ready to go with trailers included, four life jackets, two 12-gallon fuel tanks, paddles, an emergency kit, USCG-required safety equipment, and basic tools for a seamless experience.

WHAT’S THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

• 25% of the booking payment (50% of total rental amount) is non-refundable.

• The remaining 25% is refundable if canceled 10+ days before the Rental Period.

• Within 10 days, the full rental amount is due; only 50% of the total is refundable.

• Cancellations within 10 days may be rescheduled at Owner’s discretion.


AKventure Rentals may cancel due to unsafe weather (e.g., high winds, storms) or mechanical issues, offering a full refund or reschedule.

Do i need a boating license or experience to rent a jet boat?

No boating license is required to rent a jet boat in Alaska, as state law does not mandate one for recreational use. Prior boating experience is also not required by law. However, to rent a jet boat from AKventure Rentals, you must meet our insurance and safety requirements, including:

•  Being at least 21 years old (or 25, if specified by final insurance terms—confirm with your underwriter).

•  Possessing a valid driver’s license.

•  Signing a Liability Release Form and completing a brief safety orientation provided by AKventure Rentals.

•  Wearing Coast Guard-approved life vests during operation, which are provided with the rental. We strongly recommend prior boating experience or completing a NASBLA-approved boater safety course for your safety and confidence on the water. All renters will be briefed on jet boat operation and safety protocols before use. Please contact us for full eligibility details.

Do you deliver boats, or do i pick them up?

All rentals are picked up at our location. We’ll ensure your jet boat and trailer are ready to go when you arrive. Contact us for specific pickup details and directions.

Can i bring my own gear?

Absolutely! While we provide essential gear (life jackets, fuel, paddles, etc.), you’re welcome to bring your own fishing rods, hunting equipment, or other personal gear to customize your adventure.

What’s the best time of year for jet boat adventures?

Summer (June–August) is ideal for fishing salmon and scenic tours, while early fall (September) is great for hunting and quieter waterways. Contact us for seasonal tips to plan your perfect trip!
